I haven't posted in a year. 2013 was not a good year for my family; we had several personal tragedies that needed my time and attention. As you recall my Kitty Kat died on February 14, 2011, due to Vaccine Associated Sarcoma which was a result from unnecessary vaccines. I filed a veterinary negligence lawsuit against Santa Fe Animal Hospital (dba South Texas Veterinarian Associates, Inc.) in Corpus Christi, Texas. The veterinarians named in my lawsuit are Darrell L. Ferris, DVM and David G. Shaffer, DVM. My case eventually landed in the Texas 13th Court of Appeals and a decision was rendered in my favor. The attorneys that I have been up against since 2010 are Robert C. Hilliard and Rudy Gonzales, Jr attorneys for Hilliard Munoz Gonzales lawfirm http://www.hmglawfirm.com/attorneys/, Valerie L. Cantu and Michael M. Gavito attorneys for Gravely & Pearson, L.L.P http://www.gplawfirm.com/attorney formerly with O'Connell & Avery LLP http://www.oconnellbenjamin.com/ and finally Kevin W. Grillo attorney for Pena & Grillo PLLC http://www.penagrillolaw.com/kevin-w-grillo/. Did you count them??? Five attorneys and three different law firms fighting against a lone pro se plaintiff. I feel very accomplished! Of course it ain't over till the fat lady sings....Kevin Grillo will be filing an appeal for a rehearing in the Texas 13th Court of Appeals on 1.3.14. If the rehearing is denied then it will be remanded back to Judge Brent Chesney's court for a jury trial. UGH! If Chesney's decision wasn't right the first time do I really want to go back to his court? Decisions! Decisions!
